DMC Healthcare is proud to have formally signed the Armed Forces Covenant and achieved the Bronze Award under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).
These milestones reflect our commitment to supporting serving personnel, veterans, reservists, military families and the wider Armed Forces community, both as a healthcare provider and as an employer.
Our Armed Forces Covenant commitment
The Armed Forces Covenant is a national commitment to ensure that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly and are not disadvantaged because of their service.
By signing the Covenant, DMC Healthcare has made a formal commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community through our employment practices, healthcare services and wider organisational culture.
Achieving the Defence ERS Bronze Award
The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme recognises organisations that pledge, demonstrate and advocate support for Defence and the Armed Forces community.
Achieving the Bronze Award recognises DMC Healthcare’s commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant and our support for serving personnel, veterans, reservists and military families.
We are continuing to build on this work as we progress towards the requirements for Silver Award recognition.
Looking ahead: becoming more Veteran Aware
Signing the Covenant and achieving the Bronze Award are important steps, but our focus is on turning these commitments into meaningful action.
We have established a dedicated programme of work to improve awareness, accessibility and engagement with the Armed Forces community across our organisation and healthcare services.
Through this work, we aim to better understand the needs of veterans, serving personnel, reservists and military families, reduce potential barriers to accessing healthcare, and strengthen how we recognise and support the Armed Forces community.
This forms part of DMC Healthcare’s wider commitment to providing inclusive, accessible and patient-centred healthcare for the communities we serve.
