News | DMC staff organise charity walk from Church View to Sheppey

DMC Healthcare are organising a charity walk for all staff on Sunday 12^th September 2021.

The walk will start at DMC Church View Practice to DMC Sheppey Healthcare Centre via DMC Iwade Health Centre, in Kent.

The idea was initiated through a conversation “How we have not met colleagues Face to Face” since working remotely through the Covid Pandemic. We believe that our Mental Health is extremely important and the walk is a great way to support Mind UK and ourselves with our Mental Wellbeing.

We have also been championing “Ellie’s Journal”, the story of young woman who raised awareness on mental health through her thought-provoking social media posts. Find out more about Ellie’s Journal here. We have Mental Health Nurses available at our practices to support our patient’s mental health needs.

Mind UK offers information and advice to people with mental health problems and lobbies government and local authorities on their behalf. We welcome all donations via our Just Giving Page.

We have received a lot of interest from the local community and would like to thank Eurovia and Apollo painting contractors for sponsoring the event and South East Water and House of Fraser Maidstone for generously supporting the event. DMC directors and DMC staff members from each of the practices will be there in unification. Members of Kent & Medway CCG will also be joining us.
